Membership: Five members recommended by the Nominating Committee and approved by Council.
Four members required to reside within City of Muscatine limits with the option of one Member residing outside City limits but within Muscatine County.
Term: Five years- maximum of 2 full terms.
Members cannot be public officers or salaried employees of the city.
Duties: To serve as the Board of Appeals in connection with the building code, mechanical code, Plumbing code, electrical codes and other codes adopted in Title 8 of City Code.
This board will also advise the City Council on matters pertaining to the regulation of Construction activities including the adoption of building code, mechanical code, plumbing code, electrical codes and other codes adopted in Title 8 of City Code.
