GMCCI Tourism & Hospitality Committee

The mission of the Tourism & Hospitality Committee is to enhance the economy of the Muscatine County area through the promotion of the area as a destination for visitors. This is accomplished by attracting visitors to the community and generating new dollars in our community resulting in an increase in economic impact and increase of hotel/motel tax. Contact the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry for meeting times and more information. The City of Muscatine City Council appoints three members to the committee.


APPLICATION FOR GMCCI TOURISM & HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE (PDF) 

Membership:    This committee will consist of five (5) members. The City Council shall appoint three (3) members to serve on the committee and the remaining two (2) members shall be nominated by the GMCCI Executive Committee and approved by the GMCCI Board of Directors.

Term:                  Members will serve a three year terms with no limit on terms

Duties:                To market and promote the City of Muscatine as a premier destination for leisure and business travelers.

Meetings:            3rd Wednesday of every month
