Fire & EMS Services

The Fire Department is staffed with full-time personnel who provide fire protection and ambulance services to the City of Muscatine as well as fire protection and hazardous material response to contracted areas through automatic and mutual aid agreements. The ambulance service covers the City of Muscatine, surrounding townships, and Western Illinois.

STOP THE BLEED

Arm with tourniquet (JPG)The Muscatine Fire Department is sponsoring a series of STOP THE BLEED® and Hands-Only CPR Training courses this year to provide residents with the tools to save lives during an emergency. All courses will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the conference room at Muscatine Fire Station #2, 2124 Stewart Road, Muscatine. The courses are free of charge. The next class is January 24, 2026. Currently, MFD is registering participants over the phone at (563) 263-9233. Seek help to create AED database

The City of Muscatine Fire Department, Muscatine Police Department, and the Muscatine Joint Communications Center (MUSCOM) is asking for the public's help in developing a database of AEDs that have been installed in buildings throughout Muscatine.
