MUSCATINE, Iowa – Iowa Avenue between 2nd and 3rd streets will be closed to traffic Wednesday, Oct. 17, through Saturday, Oct. 20, for the “Over the Edge” fundraising event. The block of Iowa Avenue will be closed at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain closed until 12 p.m. on Saturday. The street closure was approved by the Muscatine City Council in May.
“Over the Edge” is a fund raising event for Special Olympics Muscatine, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muscatine County, and The Chamber Ambassador Network. The block party event features food, drinks, and live entertainment over two-days with the main event coming on Friday when “edgers” will rappel down the Laurel Building.
