[ARCHIVED] Police seek Muscatine area man concerning stolen vases

MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Police Department are actively seeking a Muscatine area man for the alleged theft of brass vases from a Muscatine Cemetery in June.


Memorial Park Cemetery in Muscatine reported on June 22, 2018, that a large amount of brass vases were stolen from the individual grave markers at the cemetery. The incident was investigated by the Muscatine Police Department, and detectives were able to recover a large amount of the brass vases and return them to the owners.


Criminal charges have been filed against Thomas Edgar Thornburg, 44, of the Muscatine area, and police are seeking him in relation to the theft. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Thomas Thornburg, please contact the Muscatine Police Department or the local police department where he is located.
