2025 Trick or Treat Hours (JPG)

MUSCATINE, Iowa – The City of Muscatine is pleased to announce that official Trick-or-Treat hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025. Children and families across the community are invited to participate in the annual Halloween tradition.

Mayor Brad Bark made the announcement during the Muscatine City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 7.

Residents who wish to take part are encouraged to turn on their porch lights during the designated hours to welcome trick-or-treaters. The City reminds everyone to follow safety guidelines to ensure a fun and safe experience for all participants.

Safety Tips

  • Make sure costumes are visible in the dark by using reflective tape or glow sticks.
  • Only visit homes with porch lights on.
  • Parents and guardians should accompany young children and inspect all treats before consumption.
  • Additional safety tips can be found at healthychildren.org.

Motorists are also asked to drive with extra caution due to increased pedestrian activity during the evening hours.

All Hallows Trunk or Treat – Saturday, October 25

Before the big night, the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department invites families to a scary good time at the All Hallows Trunk or Treat event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, at Kent Stein Park.

Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and bring their own trick-or-treat bags. Parents and caregivers are welcome to dress up and join in the fun!

Participants can collect treats and show off their costumes while visiting the many decorated vehicles lined up on the north side of Oneida Avenue. Attendees may park on the south side of Oneida Avenue in Kent Stein Park or at the Muscatine Soccer Complex, which is just a short walk away.
