MUSCATINE, Iowa – With the Musco Sports Dome nearing completion, the City of Muscatine is excited to announce several job opportunities for individuals interested in serving the community. Open positions include Sports Dome Cashier, Sports Dome Groundskeeper, Sports Dome Supervisor, as well as openings for a Police Officer and a Part-Time Transit Driver with MuscaBus.

Sports Dome Positions

  • Sports Dome Supervisor – Responsible for overseeing daily operations, assisting staff, supporting user groups and spectators, and ensuring all visitors enjoy a positive experience at the facility.
  • Sports Dome Groundskeeper – Ensures the Dome is clean, safe, and properly prepared for scheduled activities. Duties include facility upkeep, routine maintenance, and event preparation.
  • Sports Dome Cashier – Works up to 30 hours per week, greeting patrons, handling transactions (cash, card, or check), answering phones and customer inquiries, maintaining a clean workspace, and completing other assigned tasks.

Additional Opportunities

  • Part-Time Bus Driver (MuscaBus) – Ideal for safety-conscious individuals with strong customer service skills. Responsibilities include operating public transit vehicles, assisting passengers, collecting fares, and supporting both fixed-route and paratransit services.
  • Police Officer – A career dedicated to public service and community safety. Duties include crime prevention, law enforcement, traffic control, investigations, report processing, community outreach, and specialized police assignments.
