MUSCATINE, Iowa — The City of Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the pickleball courts located at Taylor Park will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, July 21, to allow for necessary resurfacing and maintenance.
This project is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to improve park amenities and ensure a safe, high-quality playing surface for all users. The resurfacing work is expected to take approximately seven days, with the courts tentatively scheduled to reopen on July 28, weather permitting.
“We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we complete this important maintenance work,” said Rich Klimes, Parks and Recreation Director. “The upgraded surface will enhance the playing experience and extend the life of the courts.”
The rest of Taylor Park, including the Splash Pad, restrooms, playground, and shelter will remain open.
Updates on the project and any changes to the reopening date will be shared on the Parks and Recreation website and social media channels.
