MUSCATINE, Iowa – The City of Muscatine, in coordination with the Department of Public Works (DPW), will hold an online public surplus auction beginning Sunday, June 23, and running through 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.
The auction features a variety of surplus items recently declared by the Muscatine City Council on June 19. All items will be available for bidding through the website www.publicsurplus.com.
To participate, visit the website, select “Iowa,” then “City of Muscatine” to view available items. Please note that registration is required to view full item details and place bids.
Featured auction items include:
- 2001 Ford F-150 (Park Maintenance): High mileage, extensive rust, and in need of repairs. This unit has been replaced.
- 2006 Ford F-350 One-Ton Dump Truck (Park Maintenance): Recently replaced; requires repairs.
- Hydraulic Cylinder: Previously part of a retired garbage truck no longer in service.
- Two 2000 Tarco Leaf Machines: Formerly used as backup units and no longer needed. One is operational; the other is missing several parts.
- Western Snow Plow: Previously declared surplus and sold, but never picked up.
