MUSCATINE, Iowa – An annual holiday festival in downtown Muscatine will be held Friday evening with 2nd Street blocked off from Walnut to Pine starting at 4 p.m. Along with 2nd Street, Walnut, Cedar, Sycamore, Iowa, and Chestnut will be blocked off at the #1 alley (between 2nd and Mississippi Drive) and at the #2 alley (between 2nd and 3rd streets).
Jingle & Mingle – A Holiday Stroll will be held in Downtown Muscatine from 5:30-8 p.m. with entertainment, holiday refreshments, and decorations throughout the downtown area.
Also on Friday is the annual Candy Cane Hunt, sponsored by the City of Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department, inside Riverside Park just outside of Pearl City Station. The annual hunt for children in kindergarten through the fourth grade begins at 6 p.m. Families bringing their children to the hunt are asked to bring their own flashlight as the hunt is held in the dark.
