MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Compost Facility at the Muscatine Transfer Station, 1000 South Houser Street, will remain closed today (April 3) due to the current weather conditions. The facility will possibly reopen on Thursday, April 4, depending on the weather conditions. The Facility was also closed on Tuesday (April 2) due to the heavy rain and snow potential.
The Compost Facility hours of operation are 12-6 p.m. Sunday-Saturday during April. Summer hours will begin May 1.
