MUSCATINE, Iowa – This week will be your final chance in 2023 to get outside and play pickleball as the courts at Muscatine’s Taylor Park will be closed for the season starting Friday, Dec. 22. Parks and Recreation officials have announced that the nets will be taken down on Friday, Dec. 22.
Taylor Park underwent a major transformation during 2023 with the addition of the pickleball courts, splash pad, a new shelter, and new playground equipment along with off-street parking and improved sidewalks. The project was privately funded through the Community Foundation Southend Improvement Project.
The Parks and Recreation Department along with the City of Muscatine look forward to serving all your recreational needs once again starting next spring. Some park amenities remain available during the winter months as weather permits, but please use caution when using them.
