The City of Muscatine Water & Resource Recovery Facility, also known as the Water Pollution Control Plant, allows recreational vehicles (camping trailers or motor homes) to dispose of all wastewater at the WRRF dump site. There is no fee associated with this privilege, but dumping of illegal substances is prohibited. Examples include:

  • Any chemicals that could interfere with the plant operations or pass through the plant
  • Cooking oils
  • Fluids from vehicles
  • Herbicides
  • Pesticides

Use the phone located at the dump site to contact a plant operator.

Septic Hauler Discharge Requirements

Discharge of non-domestic wastewater may be performed from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless prior arrangements are made through the WRRF office.

Note: The WRRF reserves the right to refuse permission to discharge any load of wastewater.
