Candy Cane Hunt 2018 Poster

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Wanted. Young, enthusiastic Candy Cane hunters ready to go the extra mile in the quest for sweet treats.

The Muscatine Parks and Recreation invites the community to come join in some deliciously good fun down on the riverfront with the annual Candy Cane Hunt set to start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, outside the Pearl City Station in Riverside Park.

The Land of the Candy Canes will take center stage as children hunt for and gather the sweet treats that they will be able to keep and will receive a prize for each candy cane found. “Special” candy canes will also be sprinkled around that, once found, can be redeemed at Pearl City Station for a special toy.

Cookies and drinks will be available at Pearl City Station after the hunt.

Areas will be set up in the green space near the basketball courts for two age groups for boys and girls in pre-kindergarten through first grade and another for children in the second through fourth grade.

The Candy Cane Hunt will be held in the dark, so participants are asked to bring a flashlight if they can. LED flashlights will be available from our sponsors if participants do not have one.

Please contact the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241 for more information.
