All girls in 1st through 6th grades are invited to participate in the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department’s Girls Basketball Clinic. Learn the fundamentals of basketball through ball handling, shooting, and defensive tactics. Staff will lead the children in an instructional program once a week for four weeks.
On the final two Saturdays, Coach Orvis and the Muscatine High School Girls’ Basketball team will be on hand to run drills with clinic participants in a combined class.
It will be held at West Middle School Large Gymnasium on Saturday mornings – November 16th, 23rd, December 7th, and 14th. 1st and 2nd grade will be from 9:00am to 10:00 am. 3rd and 4th grade will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. 5th and 6th grade will be from 11:00 am to Noon. On December 7th and 14th, all groups will meet from 10:00 am – Noon for special instruction from MHS coaches and players.
The registration fee for the clinic is $25.00 for residents and $30.00 for non-residents. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
