MUSCATINE, Iowa – Ideal weather and course conditions made the 2020 George Lohman City Golf Tournament a success for the 107 contestants who participated.
JT McKee was the First Round leader with a three-under-par 69 with Bryan Lemkau and Brad Gosset just three strokes back at even par 72. Lemkau played steady on Sunday with a final round 71 and was able to hold off McKee who shot a 75 in the final round to finish a shot back in second.
The day was not all bad for McKee on Sunday as he recorded an ace (a hole-in-one) during the final round on the 192 yard par-3 15th hole.
Tom Hendricks was steady throughout the weekend with scores of 73 and 74 for a two day total of 147 to win the Senior Division. Mark Hutchings finished second with scores of 79-73 and a two-day total of 152. Third place went to Jay Lohman with scores of 79-74 for a two-day total of 153.
In the Super Senior Division, Terry Porter repeated as the Champion and posted the best two-day total of the tournament with scores of 72 and a four-under 68 for a two-day total 140. Jim Kill finished in second place with a 149, and Jeff Finn was third with a 153.
The lone Lady in the 107-player field was Teri Terrill, who won her division with a two-day total of 238.
The 2021 City Golf Tournament is tentatively scheduled for June 12-13, 2021.
