    The following items are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the Agenda.

  7. PUBLIC HEARING 

    1. Proposed Amendment to Agricultural Lease of Airport Property

      This public hearing concerns a proposed amendment to an agricultural lease for property located at the Municipal Airport. Over the last 20+ years the city has leased a portion of the airport property for agricultural use. After determining that the current leaseholder is still interested in farming the airport property, staff negotiated a proposed extension of the existing lease, new lease rate, consideration of the property that has been removed from agricultural use, and property being utilized for the growth of non-cash crops, etc. Prior to formal action by City Council, a public hearing is required.

      Now is the time for the public to comment.

    1. Resolution Accepting Completed Work Performed Under the Hershey Avenue Area Sanitary and Storm Sewer Separation – Contract 2 and Authorizing Final Payment 

      Presented for City Council’s consideration is a resolution accepting completed work performed under the Hershey Avenue Area Sanitary and Storm Sewer Separation – Contract 2 and authorizing final payment. The city entered into a contract with Langman Construction Company on October 13, 2009 for this project. The final contract amount is $5,528,522.53. This project has been completed, and it is staff’s recommendation the resolution be adopted accepting the completed work and authorizing final payment to the contractor.

      Is there a motion to adopt the resolution as submitted? 

    2. Resolutions Authorizing Signatures for City Bank Accounts 

      Presented for City Council’s consideration is a resolution authorizing signatures for city bank accounts. The authorized signatures for the checking accounts are the Mayor and City Administrator. With the new Mayor taking office January 1, 2012, new corporate resolutions are required with each bank to update the authorized individuals.

      Is there a motion to adopt the resolutions as submitted?

    It is recommended bills totaling $1,409,530.64 be approved and that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to issue warrants for the same. It should be noted that this listing is subject to the approval of any related agenda item(s).
