Subdivision
Preliminary Plat - Piazza Bella Subdivision – 3-Lots – 13 acres – Off Hwy 38 – Claudio Vitale.
Gary Whitacre of Martin & Whitacre
Surveyors and Engineers has submitted a Preliminary plat for Piazza
Bella, a 3-lot subdivision located in the 3900 block of N. Highway 38.
If approved, the existing banquet facility located at 3901 N. Highway 38
would be separated from the remaining property that would be divided
into two additional parcels to be sold for future development. The
Commission is requested to schedule an on-site viewing of this property
with appropriate notice to adjacent property owners.
Vacation
Alley Remnant located in Block 29 of the Mill Street Addition to South Muscatine – 0.028 acres – Off Pearl Street – T.W.L. Corporation.
A
request to vacate a portion of alley right-of-way in Block 29 of the
Mill Street Addition to South Muscatine has been submitted by Nathan
Mather of the Nepple Law Firm on behalf of the T.W.L. Corporation. If
approved, this vacation would complete the sale and transfer of the
remaining alley right-of-way in block 29 to the existing owner. Since
no other property owners have frontage impacted by this request, it is
not necessary to contact adjacent property owners to determine their
interest in this purchase. The Commission is requested consider action
on the vacation, sale and transfer of this property as requested.
Zoning
R-3 to C-1 Zoning - 1421 Park Avenue – Approximately 78,000 square feet – City of Muscatine. The City of Muscatine will become the owner of the National Guard Armory when the new Readiness Center is completed on the Muscatine Municipal Airport property in the late summer or early fall. In order to transition the property for its maximum redevelopment potential, the property is proposed to be rezoned. The Commission is requested to review and discuss the zoning for this property.
Other Business
Comprehensive Plan Update.
City Planner Andrew Fangman
will present Commissioners with the status of the Comprehensive Plan
Update. A discussion will follow with the opportunity for Commissioners
to provide input and suggestions regarding the update effort and
adoption timeline.
