Utility Easement Vacations
James L. and Pat J. Powers – Lots 14 and 15 Riverbend Second Addition – 3302 Clermont Drive
James L. and Pat J. Powers have submitted easement vacation plat that vacates a 10 feet wide utility easement, composed of two adjoining 5’ utility easements located on Lot 14 and Lot 15 of the Riverbend Second Addition, 3302 Clermont Drive. The intent is to combine these two parcels, which makes these utility easements unnecessary as the resulting parcel will have all the necessary utility easements located along the perimeter.
Clark Johnson – Lot 1 of University Development Subdivision – 2701 University Drive
Clark Johnson has submitted an easement vacation plat that vacates that vacates a 7.5’ utility easement along a portion of the north line of Lot 1 of University Development Subdivision, 2701 University Drive. The intent is to allow for the construction of building in this portion of the platted utility easement. This portion of the utility easement is not used or needed for present or future development.
Subdivision
Papoose Forest Subdivision – JBR Rainbow LLC – 2 lots – 2.01 Acres – West end of Arbor Oaks Drive
JBR Rainbow LLC has submitted a combined preliminary/final plat for a 2 lot subdivision, located at west end of Arbor Oaks Drive, see attached diagram. The intent of this subdivision is to allow for certain property lines to be rearranged and to allow for JBR Rainbow LLC to establish a forest reservation pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 427C, on a portion of its property. This subdivision will not create any new developable parcels.
Rezoning
Rezoning Case # Z-135-15 – GTM Properties (Marsha Daufeldt and Troy Mitchell) – 2107 Grandview Avenue – M-1 Light Industrial to R-6 Multi Family Residential
GTM Properties (Marsha Daufeldt and Troy Mitchell), have submitted an application to rezone a 4 acre parcel located at 2107 Grandview Avenue, just north of Hershey Avenue, M-1 Light Industrial to R-6 Multi Family Residential. The subject parcel is the site of a motel that is no longer in operation, the Lamplight Inn. GTM Properties has purchased this property with intent of converting the existing structures into a number of one-bedroom apartments. Multi-family residences are not a permitted use in the M-1 Zoning District, necessitating the need for a rezoning to the R-6 district for this project to proceed.
