    The following items are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the Agenda.

    F. Request from Zion Lutheran Church for Use of City Property for a Neighborhood Block Party

    This request is for the closure of Sycamore Street from alley in front of Zion Lutheran Church to intersection at 6th Street and from 6th Street to the entrance to the church parking lot. The requested closure date is May 28th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the actual event taking place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

    G. Request from Saints Mary Mathias Church for Use of City Property for Corpus Christi Feast Procession 

    This request is for the use of city property for the Corpus Christi Procession on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from approximately 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The procession will turn to the right out of St. Mary’s Church parking lot on 4th Street traveling down to Pine Street. The procession will turn left on Pine Street, cross 8th Street and up the hill to St. Mathias Church.

    1. Resolution Setting Date for Sale of General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2014 and Authorizing Use of a Preliminary Official Statement in Connection Therewith

      Presented for City Council’s consideration is a resolution setting the date for the sale of General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2014, and authorizing the use of a Preliminary Official Statement in connection therewith. The city has previously taken action to approve the $2,575,000 bond issue to be dated June 2, 2014 to finance various capital projects that are either underway or will be completed in the upcoming year. The issue includes funding for the local share of the reconstruction projects for Colorado and Cedar streets, the local share for airport improvement projects, library elevator improvements, and the purchase of equipment for the city’s ambulances. Adoption of this resolution will provide for additional action for the issuance of the bonds including setting the date for the sale of the bonds for May 1, 2014 and approving the Preliminary Official Statement for this issue.
