- Muscatine Municipal Airport
The Muscatine Municipal Airport provides a non-commercial facility for use by the entire community. The facility include a terminal building, 2 corporate hangars, 20 T-hangars, a maintenance building, and a community hangar that can store approximately 15 to 20 small airplanes. The Airport has a 5,500 foot main runway and a 4,000 foot crosswind runway.
The facility is operated through a contractual agreement by the Airport Manager who oversees the general operation of the facility. The city also has a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) who provides various business functions and services to the users of the Airport. The FBO provides airplane maintenance, charter services and flight training in addition to the sale of airplanes, gasoline and other general services required by the aviation industry.
The City of Muscatine hereby announces its proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal of 1.4% for FAA-funded contracts/agreements. The proposed goal pertains to federal fiscal years 2022 through 2024. The proposed goals and rationale are available for inspection at DBE Program Update 2022-2024 or a copy may be requested by calling 563-262-4141 Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Comments on the DBE goal will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this publication and can be sent to the following no later than March 13, 2023:
